Note: we are a small, young, independent, home-based publisher. All our books are printed locally to support local businesses as well as to minimise carbon miles. We pay fair price to the illustrators and administrative staff (they set their price). Whenever there is opportunity, we raise money for a UK charity (so far, we raised £590 for Carers UK).
To sell our books to bookshops, we have no choice but to go through a major distributor/wholesaler, who demands a whopping 60% discount from us, including postage and packing, and we have to honour (and reimburse) returns. This makes business conditions impossibly tough, especially to stay true to our ethos (previous paragraph), so your support matters greatly to us. THANK YOU.
