Who we are

We are a group of students, diverse in ethnicity, age and lived experience, and we have come together virtually with the Cheese Plant Book team to work on a pre-University guide! Yes, this book is about putting together all the useful advice, research and personal perspectives that we have come across when preparing for overseas studies (scary, so much to discover!).

Our vision is to share all the good stuff with you so that you are well-prepared for studying abroad. We have put together a very useful and practical guide to help you navigate your journey: from preparation before you leave (lots to be done!) to how to get the most out of your time abroad.

Our commitment

We are committed to donating the first tranche of the profit from the sale of this book to the charity PAWS Malaysia. We believe that this is a worthwhile charity as it takes care of and rehouse unwanted dogs, cats and rabbits, giving them a second chance in life. In addition, it also neuters strays. For more information about PAWS Malaysia, please click on this link. Once our target for PAWS Malaysia is reached, we will begin a second tranche where we hope to benefit other local charities.

A truly global endeavour

In addition, we work with two freelancers, creating work for them and remunerating them for the production of this book. We feel that it is important to contribute to the income of our freelancers who are self-employed individuals rather than large faceless corporations. It is very empowering for us too, as well as giving us the opportunity of working with overseas-based professionals. Environmental sustainability and local economy

We used a local printer to support the local economy of Malaysia. For overseas customers, we have an e-book version to minimise carbon miles to protect the environment and to bring the cost down for our customers.
